Damage from Fay - Where to Find Help and Assistance

Sunday August 24, 2008
President Bush declared a federal state of emergency in Florida to help with Tropical Storm Fay after Governor Crist had asked for the declaration in 22 Florida counties. This will enable federal agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency to come in and help areas of Florida that need assistance.

Other organizations offering help:

  • The American Red Cross 1-866-HELP
  • FEMA 1-800-621-FEMA
Feel you are being over charged on essential survival items? If you experience any price gouging, contact the Florida Consumer Hotline at 1-866-9NO-SCAM or 1-800-HELP-FLA.
